Tramontina Welcome

I've been married for 13 1/2 years and just realized that I didn't put a set of cookware on my bridal shower registry. Oops. It would have been much more useful than fine china. Well, I have been keeping my eye on different sets and decided to get this Tramontina Gourmet 13-piece set, on clearance at Costco for $169 (Amazon $219). It was a close call between this and the Kirkland set ($169 regular price at Costco), the Kirkland set has 5-ply with copper while Tramontina has 3-ply with aluminum, but in the end it was the pretty belly-shape that won me over. But I couldn't stop there...I checked Amazon again and found a used (only a few times but no original box) set for $70 with $20 shipping, so I decided to go that route. I'm starting to see how erratically new prices swing around on Amazon and thinking it might be worthwhile to pay more attention to that site for shopping. Well, now you're invited over so I can cook you up some tasty food! I will try to remember "hot pan, cold oil" so the food won't stick.
