Minigolf Moneysaver

The boys are about to embark on the diamond mine minigolf course.

Vacation Lesson 6: The secret minigolf moneysaver! If your kids are like mine, they love to go to the minigolf places, but the young ones (like 4 y.o. Zoe) really don't have the endurance or interest for 18 holes. The boys do like to keep some scores, but they're truly most interested in the experience and atmosphere.

Sooooo, when I suspect that we're going to golf a few holes and dwindle in focus, I buy only one ball/club set, and make the kids rotate turns golfing. 18 holes, 3 kids...they each golf 6 holes but they get the fun of walking along through all of them.
Even with the high-speed single-golfer plan, the kids were tired and fussy after one round. Phew!

I asked Xander, hypothetically, if he would rather go to ONE golf course (Myrtle Beach has dozens of cute ones) and each person get their own ball, OR go to FOUR golf courses, but take turns with our sharey-deal at each place. He chose to share. Yay, little frugal offspring!
