For Guy's 6th birthday, we did things a little differently. Usually we have the whole party at home, but this time, we had an hour or so of games, pizza, and cake (all about a Webkinz theme), and then went to the local gymnastics gym for open gym. The boys entertained themselves with all the trampolines and equipment for 90 minutes...making for a pretty easy party!
Guy especially liked bouncing-4-square on the trampolines, jumping into the foam pit, and launching off the springboard onto a mat. I was pleased that everyone was sweaty and red-faced by the end.
You can see the Webkinz cake and pinata I made (to celebrate 2 of Guy's favorite characters), and we played several Webkinz-based games I made up, like "Login to Webkinz": I had a cardboard box decorated with the Webkinz logo, and the kids tried to toss their pet into the box. And "Wheel of Wow": They took turns spinning the Wow spinner to win snacks (pizza, carrots, punch, etc.). And "Decorate the room": They rolled a die and if the lucky 6 was rolled, the child chose a drawing of a piece of furniture or a drawing of a webkinz to add to a poster-sized room I had made. We also did a "Quizzy's word challenge" game and a "Zingos" balloon-bouncing game. Gotta love Webkinz.
