When making donations to good causes, don't you wish that it was the THOUGHT that counted most? I do!
This is so great! Our school raises funds using Simplified Scrip, but the PARENTS don't really have to spend anything. (For tightwads like me, this is my dream come true.)
I go to the website www.simplifiedscrip.com and buy gift cards to my grocery store (or restaurant or favorite shopping store) and I get those gift cards at full face value. Really, all I donated was 5 minutes of my time.
THEN, the corporate folks who make the cards donate a percentage to our school! Wahoo! This really is a good idea for me and for them. I have donated several hundred to our school by simply buying groceries at the place I always buy groceries. They are drawing in business, I guess, and they probably know that a certain number of people are going to lose their cards and never redeem them.
So, don't let that be YOU. Please donate to our school (or okay, fine, sign your own child's school up) and then don't lose your cards. Select CRESTWOOD in my town and state for the donation. Thanks! Even better, do like I do, and have them automatically send you a couple hundred dollars of grocery cards every month (in which case you get free shipping, too), so you don't forget. Here's the site:

Now, supposing my kids actually attend school (see posts on Playing Hookey), they will really appreciate your support!
