I recently went to a fundraiser which felt nothing like a fundraiser. It was just a party at a lovely home, with a suggested donation. Surprisingly, we brought in something like $4,000 for the school! Wow! I certainly had a good time, and I'm certainly glad they didn't get any photos of me on the dance floor. Or any photos of me over by the dessert table, either. Instead we did get caught on film with many of the school's present and recent CAPT (Crestwood Association of Parents and Teachers) presidents. I was prez in '08-'09 and sometimes wonder, since I'll be at the school for 10 more years, if my number will get called again.
Next Saturday is the school's biggest event: the Crestwood Caper. I'm scrambling around getting decor ready for Xander's class booth (bowling). If you live in Madison, drop by from 10A-3P and spend some money on carnival games enlivening the theme: Crestwood is Out of This World!
And unlike the adults-only party, I'm sure we can all get home from the carnival well before midnight.
