Today school was closed, and probably will be tomorrow, too, due to the extreme windchill (-40 F). We went swimming, and just walking from the car to the building was uncomfortable and gave us all chapped cheeks, so yeah...I can see how having kids wait for the bus could be dangerous.
Well, we also got a great idea from Family Fun magazine to put snow in the bathtub, since it's too cold to play with it outside (and the snow outside is too cold and fluffy to get sticky and packy). I brought in a load, and four hours later it had finally slushed up enough to be fun. Tomorrow we'll try to construct some really great castles and roadways. In the tub.
