Happy Birthday, Xander!

We had this kid's laser-tag birthday party way back in May because we knew June was going to be a crazy month. As a matter of fact, here we are on his ACTUAL birthday, and we're road-trippin' it all the day long. When I asked him, "What do you think of a road trip on your birthday?" He answered, "Meh!" And that is why we pre-partied this year.

I know all about the inconvenient birthday (you know, mine is in December) and I learned to appreciate it. My birthDAY is usually stretched into a birthMONTH. It started that year I turned six and my mom got married in December...so we celebrated smallishly in December and then again in mid-January, and that happens almost every year, now!

Xander says, "It's not like it's your birthday every day, but it is kinda nice having it several times during the span of a month." After that May friends party, we'll also have cake and one Mom-present today, and when Dad is back in town, we'll have an all-family gathering. Really, I'm LOOKING for excuses to celebrate my firstborn! Three or four parties is NOT enough!
