Zoe Turns Four!

Now that Zoe's birthday has passed, I'm constantly bombarded with the question,"Is today my birthday?" and it's difficult to explain just how long a year is. It's especially trick for Zoe, who refers to ALL future events as happening "next week" and ALL past events as having happened "last week." She really doesn't embrace terms like tomorrow, yesterday, last night, or last year.

Zoe was lucky to have a family celebration and THEN have a daytime celebration with her preschool friends. We had some lively Hokey Pokey fun and some playtime in the basement, followed by pizza and cupcakes. I'll admit that my party planning is on the easy-going side right now, with my chest cold, but I think we had fun anyway!

Some notable gifts were two new baby dolls (from Gramma and from Corey) who instantly became popular members of Zoe's doll-family, a matching night-gown and doll night-gown, and the van for her Loving Family people. Zoe testifies that a girl can never have too many baby dolls, and she hopes to get more for her birthday "next week".
