Painted Rooms: Color Field Art

So, when we first moved in, I painted the girls' room with a mural a la color field, and the boys have been requesting something interesting on their walls for a long time.  I had a day with no lessons to teach (and I begged off my school volunteering), so I was home long enough to attack their room using the same colors that appear in their duvet covers.
Now, I know HALF of you are humming "ooh, that's cool!" and HALF of you are thinking "ew! Why would you destroy a WALL like that!?"  and I know this because that's about the percentage of grimaces and grins I get if any friends or neighbors see our bedrooms.  I welcome those of you from the former half of the population to email me, so I'll be motivated to paint other super boring rooms into exuberant life.  Those of you from the latter half are welcome to sit around and watch TV in your boring homes while I do something creative and fun without you.
In other news, that first photo shows Tiny in her brand new big bed!  I gave away the crib, changing table, and hamper!  She was reluctant about the change for a short while, but I let her pick out a princess blanket from Costco to put on her bed and that made her excited to snuggle there.  So far we've only had a few incidents of falling (not while sleeping...but while over-reaching to the bookshelf from the bed; you can see this set-up is begging for trouble) and of getting out of bed at night.
