Let This Be the Only Time

I was recently reading a newspaper article with Xander about some kids who started a fire and had to go to juvenile prison. This started a little discussion about JV and reminded me of the black anklets used for tracking parolees.

That tracking technology works pretty well...at least on all the newborns wearing them. I know because I accidentally set off the blaring alarms on the maternity floor by walking too close to the elevator bay while carrying newborn Clementine during a relaxing stroll.

So, the great memory I had was of when the nurse was putting the anklet on hours-old Clementine. Speaking into the isolette, she said, "Now Clementine, let this be the only time you are required to wear one of these!"
