Viruses (of a Floral Nature)

Guy spend a lot of time on the front steps catching beetles and checking out the flowers. When I'm busy bustling about cleaning up the breakfast dishes or whatever, he pops out front for a few minutes to see what has changed and count the number of pesky rabbits.

One morning recently he came bounding back into the house shouting, "MOM! MOM! Come look! The VIRUSES ARE IN BLOOM!"

Ha ha. While it's true that I reap what I sow, you'll notice from my earlier posts that I also reap tomatoes that I never sowed and did not reap any zinnias, tulips, or other delicious-tasting flowers (to the rabbit palate) that I DID sow.

A little logological thinking got me wondering if my IRISES were blooming a second round, but a quick and happy look let me know that in reality the flowers bursting forth with color were indeed the few uneaten gladiolas!

Nevertheless, I am pretty sure that I did NOT SOW VIRUSES out front. That sort of thing definitely belongs in the back.

P.S. To see just the sort of thing that Guy does in front of the house, go to google.com/maps and type in our address. Shift to the right to see my white house with green shutters... and a little surprise out front!
